The Centre for Media and Women’s Empowerment (CMWE) is a pioneering, female-led non-profit organisation based in Sierra Leone. CMWE is committed to the advancement of women’s rights and empowerment, recognising the critical role women play in sustainable development and societal progress. By employing a multifaceted approach that integrates strategic engagement, media engagement, community outreach, and capacity-building initiatives, CMWE addresses the complex challenges women face in Sierra Leone, including gender-based violence, economic disparities, climate change, and cultural barriers.
